Does Greed Trump Patriotism in Today's America?

Is it patriotic to wave American Flags made in China? Is a Chinese factory worker whose average wage is 61 cents an hour, lives in a factory dormitory and works 12 to 14 hour days, really helping Americans by giving us tainted dog treats? If the CEO of an American industry ships American jobs overseas to the lowest bidder, is he an American patriot because he increased his stock price? When newly elected governors, elected with the promise of creating jobs destroy good paying union jobs, are they the new patriots of greed? When bankers make spurious loans to people who will never be able to repay them just to increase their own bonuses, are they the new patriots? When oil companies raise the cost of gasoline to untold heights just because some Iranian starts to shout, are they being patriotic or opportunistic? When an empty head in a sweater vest says he's glad for financial inequality, should we make him president? I thought patriotism meant loving America and Americans and doing what benefits them not some bottom line. Time to throw all the greed mongers out of office.
