The Shell Game that America Has Become

What is the one thing Americans really excel at? Creating profits out of thin air. Look at the Wall Street banking scandal. Once most regulations were removed from Wall Street, the first thing they did was create billions in profit out of thin air. They lent money to people they new weren't qualified or couldn't pay them back. They collected banking fees and then took out insurance betting the loans would fail. It was a big win win for the rich, making them richer. For this massive calamity inflicted on American, not one banker has done the perp walk.
Look at a certain energy company. First you corner the electric energy market and then shut down power plants to create a false crisis and then charge the sky is the limit rates for electricity. Rolling blackouts all over California. All do to wealth created from nothing. At least the company is no more. But how about the people that invested and were told right to the end that the stock was a great investment?
What will be the next shell game foisted upon an unsuspecting world? Oil speculation is doing a good job of slowing any recovery. you have the oil industry making more in profits than ny corporation in history. Yet we subsidize them to the tune of 10 billion dollars a year. Taxpayer money so they can make even more money for a product that should be sold for half the price now charged. The shell game will always be with us. Americans need to stop being dupes.

BLAME YOURSELF

The man with the 9-9-9 plan says if you are poor, hungry, unemployed, or can't afford health insurance, blame yourself. Of course, if you turn the numbers 9-9-9 upside down you get 6-6-6. Yes the mark of the devil, go figure.

So if your rich boss sent your job to China...blame yourself. If failed CEO's get golden parachutes instead of golden showers...blame yourself. If gas and oil companies get obscene tax breaks and are protected by bought and paid for politicians...blame yourself. If you work two minimum wage jobs and so does your spouse and you still can't make ends meet...blame yourself. If you've lost your right to bargain with your employer...blame yourself. If you believe this garbage is fair and vote Republican...blame yourself.

Some Wonderful Things Republicans Have Given Us

Step back a moment and look at a few of the wonderful things Republicans have done and are doing for America. Reagan started the whole tax cuts for the rich ideology. He said a rising tide lifts all boats. Sort of like the tsunami that hit Japan. So for 30 years, Republicans have cut taxes for the wealthy. Look at the results this brilliant idea has wrought. Republicans want the market place to rule the economy. How's your health care costs doing? How does it feel when you put gas in your car? Now when Democrats want to take back the billions from the obscenely rich oil and gas industry, the Republicans call it a tax increase. All Republicans in Congress have taken the Norquist pledge never to raise taxes. This means Medicare, Social Security, and anything beneficial to those making under $250K has to go. Remember when Republicans screamed jobs, jobs, jobs!? The only jobs Republicans create are for their relatives and the Chinese. So if your guns and prejudices mean more to you than having a job and feeding your family, vote Republican.

As Fat Cats sit down to Thanksgiving, the head feline rises to give the invocation:

"Let us bow our heads and give thanks. Thank you for our television and radio stations that allow us to fool everyman into voting against his own self interests. Thank you for our paid for scientists who refute global warming. Thank you hydrolic fracture drilling that allows us to reap more oil profits while ruining the environment. Thank you for reality television that mesmerizes everyman into a coma like state. Thank you for letting us privatize everything. Thank you for letting us make taxes the dirty word it has now become. Thank you for letting everyman see that those in need, who are less fortunate than him, are not worthy of help. Finally, thank you for the power of greed because it really, for a lack of a better term, is great."

Constriction Insurance

By watching TV what would you say is the most lucrative industry in America today?

Judge this strictly by watching commercials.

Isn't it obvious that the insurance industry controls the majority of wealth in this country? Not just health insurance, because they've been kinda hiding and trying not to be seen until their buddies regained power. They make so much money that they spend most of it trying to get you to switch from the insurance company you have to them. A lot of insurance is even mandated by state governments. Sweet deal. Absolutely force people to buy your product. Free market, yeah right.

Now back to health insurance. The stealth insurance of late. The people in power now are working to slowly strangle any health care reform. Just like a boa-constrictor. First the snake grabs the prey. Then it crushes the life out of it. Finally it swallows it whole. Insurance companies like cute animals in their ads. Maybe it's time for the boa to rear its head.

Balls

The time has come. This has to be the age of a new everyman. Like the Orc's in the Tolkien trilogy, the other side has become ever more diabolical. They have the money, the media, and the Neanderthals. Everyman has to find leaders like Harry Truman who never minced words. If a politician is afraid to be bloodied for his ideals then he needs to be cast aside. You passed health care reform. Shout it from the rooftops. You stimulated a dying economy. Let people know this was the right thing to do. Don't try to rationalize your points of view with political trolls. If someone disagrees violently with you, don't shrink like a violet behind conciliatory language. Swear, get in his or her face and let them know you don't represent Fat Cats. Use your media money wisely. Show the other side for what they are using their own actions. I still can't believe, with footage of Tea Party people spitting on congressmen and ridiculing the disabled, this wasn't used with devastating effect in a commercial saying is this the ideals you want in politics. Grow a set or hide under a rock.
