How the Rich Tax the Poor and Make Them Like It

What a con job by the rich foisted upon the rest of us. They have made taxes a dirty word. They have taken the Grover Norquist pledge to never raise taxes on their own kind. Let's just see how the rich fat cats tax the rest of us. First whenever Republicans hold any office instead of paying a fair share in taxes they try to bankrupt any government they represent. State, federal, local, it doesn't matter. Look at George Bush and his record. Two unfunded wars and an unfunded insruance company bonanza in the disguise of drug coverage. These actions alone with massive tax cuts for the wealthy have socially engineered a starve the poor, feed the obscenely rich way of life. Get this one oil tax subsidies for the riches companies in the world need to continue because cutting them off would be a Norquist no no tax. Isn't making a politician sign a pledge not to consider an option of their job blackmail, and against the law? Cigar smoking fat cat commentators on right wing radio and television then pick up the mantle of the rich and run with it. The stupid American voter can embrace this garbage and his own prejudices then votes fat cat.

Oh I'm Glad I'm Not a Disappointing Weiner

Ever notice when Democrats finally get someone in a position, who fights for us, and tells it like it is, he ends up in a compromising position? A president like Bill Clinton who balanced the budget and created millions of jobs felled by a blue dress. His little ego trip down deep throat lane gave us George Bush. Now this latest blow-up cripples us once again and paints Democrats as silly sex fantasy driven ego-maniacs. The worst part about these scandals is that the perpetrators are just plain stupid. When you are the most powerful man in the world you do not trust a 21 year old woman with your libido and expect her not to tell someone. What a Duh! Now we have this Congressman who ends up trusting women on the internet with explicit photo's of himself. This goes beyond stupid. Enough of Dumb and Dumber. You both committed intentional political suicide because of your tremendous ego's. All the good you accomplished and could yet accomplish has been negated by your basest desires. Democrats who wish to do good deserve better. Keep it in your pants!

Shared Prosperity...A Republican Oxymoron

Don't you just love Republican oxymorons?

You know, like Ronald Reagans peacekeeper missel. The best one though is shared prosperity. When an oil executive was asked at a recent Congressional hearing if he believed in shared sacrifice and he said without blinking an eye that he believed in shared prosperity. Republicans don't share, they hoard. Oil and gas companies are setting world records for profits yet Republicans won't stop subsidizing them. How is charging $4.00 more for gasoline sharing prosperity? The only thing they are sharing is their let them eat cake mentality. One of my blogs in January stated what Republicans would do now that they held the house. They would cry broke and the oil and gas industry would kill any economic recovery through skyrocketing prices. I didn't have to be a Nostra-dumb-ass to see this coming. As the economy tanks do to shared Republican prosperity look for elephant like bellows of jobs, jobs, jobs again. You know the same jobs Republicans sent permanently overseas.

Definite Differences

Let's list the real differences between Republicans and Democrats:

First, what is the most important thing for a Democrat? People.

What is the most important thing for a Republican? Money.

Democrats want to make things better for people. Republicans want to make money on everything and not give any of it away. Democrats are for public schools and a good education for all. Republicans are for charter and private schools because they make money for their campaign contributors. Republicans want health insurance companies to control health care because they contribute to their campaigns. Democrats enacted Medicare and Social Security with moderate Republican help back in the day. Republicans want to get rid of both programs and let the market place rule old age. Republicans hate unions. Democrats recognize the right to organize and bargain.

If you worship at the altar of greed, vote Republican.

If you care about others, Vote Democrat.
